Sara Tournament.This was the first time that Ragama Cricket Club have qualified for thePremier League. A small club with few facilities and no ground they weredelighted with their promotion and revealed that they were already lookinginto bolstering their playing squad for the forthcoming season.Singha played in the Premier Tournament last season, but were required toplay in a Relegation tournament when they ended up the bottom four of the18-team group. The two top teams of the P.Sara Tournament also participatedin the relegation battle.Ragama ended in the second place with 45.231 points while Chilaw Marians,the other side playing in Sara Tournament, had already qualified for thePremier League having won the relegation round robin.
