Berrada's old United criticism surfacesMan Utd CEO clears all posts from X Joined United from City earlier this year GettyWHAT HAPPENED?

Berrada made the high-profile move from Manchester City to Manchester United this summer after having spent almost 13 years at the Etihad. The Frenchman had held multiple positions at City and was most recently the eight-time Premier League champions' Head of Football Operations. As part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS' takeover of United, Berrada was also enticed into making a move and becoming the Red Devils' Chief Executive Officer.

As per The Mirror, a few keen-eyed Manchester United supporters had spotted that Berrada's X/Twitter account had several tweets that were very critical of United. One of his reposts had been criticism of how the club had been run following Sir Alex Ferguson's departure in 2013. In another post on his X, he said that the Red Devils had mishandled their greatest triumph ever, contending that Bayern Munich had a right to triumph over United in the 1999 Champions League Final, where Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's late goals sealed the club's first treble.

The two Manchester-based clubs faced each other earlier on Saturday, August 10 in the final of the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium. During the clash, Berrada was shown on the big screen at the stadium to which Manchester City fans started booing the Frenchman.

WHAT NEXT FOR BERRADA?

Berrada has since deleted all the posts he made on X and he will hope to put it all in the past. Manchester United lost the Community Shield against City as Berrada watched on.

However, there were plenty of positive signs shown by the Red Devils. Berrada and the company will be hopeful to see the same translated on the field when the Premier League begins in a week's time.
