There may be a new man in the dugout for Arsenal but many of the same decisions that Unai Emery made as boss were maintained for the clash against Norwich.
That meant Freddie Ljungberg started unpopular figures like Shkodran Mustafi and even Granit Xhaka – the latter making his first league appearance since the debacle against Crystal Palace a few weeks ago.
It was possible that the wounds between the player and the fanbase could have healed due to the time apart, but the Switzerland international put in a typical lacklustre performance, at least according to some fans.
The Gunners were their usual inconsistent selves against Norwich, dominating the opening period of the match yet found themselves 1-0 down thanks to some less than impressive defending, with Xhaka guilty of not tracking back quickly enough.
He certainly has a lot to do to rebuild his relationship with the fans and with a new manager set to arrive he may need to improve his performance level if he is to maintain his place in the team.
These supporters certainly feel time is running out, with one or two thinking that he should be moved on when the transfer window opens.
